About BPC-157
BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157, also catalogued as PL 14736) is a synthetic 15-amino-acid peptide, Gly-Glu-Pro-Pro-Pro-Gly-Lys-Pro-Ala-Asp-Asp-Ala-Gly-Leu-Val, derived from a partial sequence of a protein originally isolated from gastric juice. It is one of the most widely studied stable pentadecapeptides in pre-clinical research.
In laboratory settings BPC-157 is used to investigate fibroblast and endothelial cell migration, angiogenic signalling including VEGFR2 and nitric-oxide pathways, and tendon, ligament and gastrointestinal tissue models. Port Peptides BPC-157 will be available as a standalone lyophilised research peptide in 10mg and 20mg vials, complementing our BPC-157 + TB-500 Wolverine blend.
Research applications
- Fibroblast and tendon-cell migration assays
- Angiogenesis and VEGFR2 signalling models
- Nitric-oxide pathway studies
- Gastrointestinal epithelial cell models
Mechanism studied
Studied for effects on growth-factor receptor expression, VEGFR2–Akt–eNOS signalling and cell migration in pre-clinical models.
Also known as: Body Protection Compound-157, PL 14736, pentadecapeptide BPC 157.
