About GHK-Cu
GHK-Cu is the copper(II) complex of the naturally occurring tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine, first isolated from human plasma. It is one of the most cited peptides in dermal and cosmetic science research.
Laboratories study GHK-Cu in fibroblast cultures for collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis, metalloproteinase regulation and gene-expression profiling. Supplied as a 100mg lyophilised research material.
Research applications
- Collagen and elastin synthesis in fibroblast models
- Matrix metalloproteinase regulation
- Gene-expression profiling
- Copper transport and antioxidant studies
Mechanism studied
Modulates gene expression linked to collagen, glycosaminoglycans and metalloproteinases in dermal cell models.
Also known as: Copper peptide, Copper tripeptide-1, Glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine copper.
