About PT-141
PT-141 (bremelanotide) is a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide derived from Melanotan II. It differs from Melanotan II by a free carboxylic-acid C-terminus in place of the amide, and is studied as a melanocortin-receptor agonist with activity at MC4R and MC3R.
Researchers use PT-141 as a reference ligand in melanocortin-receptor binding and cAMP assays and in studies of central MC4R signalling pathways. Port Peptides PT-141 will be supplied at 10mg as a lyophilised research peptide.
